What do you do at Give Lively?

As a quality assurance (QA) engineer, I ensure that our platform performs exactly as intended. I dive deep into new features to catch coding concerns and consider rare problems or situations before they reach our users; I investigate any unexpected platform issues that pop up. I then collaborate closely with our engineering and product teams to share my findings, guaranteeing we roll out smooth, highly reliable updates for nonprofits.

What does a day in your life at Give Lively look like?  

When I log on, I map out my day based on the platform feature updates that are moving through our development cycle and are ready for testing. Most of my day is spent digging into the application in search of anything that might not be performing as desired. I join our daily meetings to stay aligned on priorities, and I frequently jump into quick syncs with developers to discuss feature functionality, investigate platform issues and hold the line on delivering a high-quality product.

What do you like to do outside of Give Lively?

Outside of work, I really love anything that gets me outdoors and exploring. I joke that I’m kind of like a husky – the second my eyes see something new or out beyond the horizon, I just want to run out and explore it! I'm a big fan of packing up for camping trips, taking long drives to discover new sights and doing some off-roading. It’s the perfect way for me to chase that sense of adventure and recharge.

What excites you about Give Lively?

What excites me most about Give Lively is seeing how top-quality tech can directly empower nonprofits. A lot of smaller organizations don't have the time to deal with buggy or complicated software, so confirming that our platform works flawlessly behind the scenes means they can focus entirely on their missions without any friction. For me, catching an issue or smoothing out updates isn't just about code stability. It's about making sure fundraising dollars seamlessly reach organizations doing real good. Knowing that my daily work has that tangible, positive impact is incredibly fulfilling, and doing it alongside such an earnest, collaborative team is exactly where I want to be.
