Like the focus of this week’s profile, the full Give Lively team is passionate about using tech for social good and providing a better fundraising experience to nonprofits and donors.

What do you do at Give Lively?

As a Technical Support Specialist, I ensure that Give Lively services are performing as intended. This means I investigate any reported issues with the platform and share my findings with our engineering team to remedy. I also help with Customer Support needs. I answer member questions about our features, make recommendations on how to use the platform for their needs and make any administrative changes we can on our end. 

What does a day in your life at Give Lively look like?

My first priority is to respond to overnight customer support chats. I begin by identifying if members or donors are experiencing platform issues. In the event a feature isn't performing as intended, I try to replicate the error and send a request to our engineers for further investigation. 

I also gather details and triage customer support emails and chats for specialized teams that focus on technical implementation or Charity Navigator’s Giving Basket, which we power. 

As one of the first on the team to start work every day, I love setting our team up for a successful day and talking to our members about their upcoming campaigns. I’m able to catch things that our team should be privy to and get some communications sent out. 

What do you like to do outside of Give Lively?

I'm a massive music lover and have been since I was a youngster. Outside of work, I love building my EDM, Pop and R&B playlists to DJ with my friends. I'm still a work in progress, but it's one of my biggest passions.

I’m also a big outdoorsy person. I love hiking trails and taking photos of wildlife. One of my favorite parks, Sweetwater Creek Park (15 miles from downtown Atlanta), has a massive creek with rapids. It's so refreshing to sit by the running water after a day in the sun. I plan on hiking Cloud Canyon (in northwest Georgia) to see the beautiful waterfalls. 

What excites you about Give Lively?

The most exciting thing about being part of Give Lively is seeing the impact that free fundraising tech can provide nonprofits. We offer a human approach in the way we support our members, which I think makes a huge difference in how nonprofits use our tools to fundraise. There is no better feeling than knowing the work I do is making a difference.
