Malala and Ziauddin Yousafzai founded Malala Fund to break down barriers preventing nearly 130 million girls from going to school. By investing in local education activists, holding governments accountable to their commitments and amplifying the voices of girls, Malala Fund champions every girl's right to learn and lead.

In 2017, Malala approached Give Lively in search of a state-of-the-art donation solution, one that would be quick and easy, keeping donors on its own website. Importantly, it would address a larger quest for a seamless donation experience, a challenge faced by many nonprofits using digital fundraising tools. The collaborative development process between the Malala Fund and Give Lively teams resulted in our popular Donation Widgets, technology now available to all nonprofits.

Donation Widget on Malala Fund’s home page

Our Simple Donation Widget is a streamlined donation tool embedded directly on a web page that allows donors to contribute without leaving the website. Malala Fund showcases the power of this stripped-down widget, which centers on the essentials: donation amounts (using optional customized preset amounts and an open field) and frequency.

This one has the same features as the widget on the homepage (see directly above), but also includes the ability for donors to dedicate a donation in honor or in memory of someone else.
