From time to time, we will profile members of the Give Lively team, revealing more about who we are, what we do, and how we fit into a mix of dedicated and dynamic engineers, creatives, strategists, and advocates helping nonprofits do more with digital fundraising tools.

Like the focus of this week’s profile, the full Give Lively team is passionate about using tech for social good and providing a better fundraising experience to nonprofits and donors.

What do you do at Give Lively?

I am a software engineer here at Give Lively. Since joining the team in February 2024, I have had the privilege of working closely with fellow engineers and members of other teams to improve our internal and external systems. I have contributed to all areas of the codebase to provide nonprofits with the tools they need to achieve their goals. 

What does a day in your life at Give Lively look like?

There is never a dull moment at Give Lively! A typical day for me usually contains a mix of feature work (i.e., building something new and exciting that will improve our platform), some cross-team meetings to discuss current or upcoming projects, and collaborating with other engineers to guarantee the code we generate meets our standards. Basically, I spend my days with my colleagues ensuring that our platform is the best it can possibly be.

Considering we all work remotely, we still manage to spend a lot of time communicating with one another through messages and video calls. This keeps us all on the same page and maintains a sense of camaraderie. 

What do you like to do outside of Give Lively?

I love running and hiking, and I try to get outside as much as I possibly can, regardless of the weather. When I end up stuck inside, I can be found cooking, reading or needlepointing. I love trying new recipes, especially anything Mediterranean, and always make a mess. 

My husband and I also enjoy spending time with our friends and family, and love to travel and explore new places, both near and far. A few of our favorite places to visit are the Adirondack Mountains, northern Michigan and the San Francisco area where we lived for three years. We often spend our weekends checking out new restaurants, breweries, hiking trails and other attractions.  

We will be welcoming a baby in March 2026, which I know will bring many new and exciting adventures!

What excites you about Give Lively?

Working at Give Lively has enabled me to do something I love for a company that, I believe, has a truly noble mission. I am motivated and excited by the fact that my efforts have a direct and positive impact on the many amazing nonprofits that utilize our platform. It is also incredibly rewarding to partner with so many passionate people who uplift and encourage one another as we all strive to do the best we can in pursuit of our goals as a company.
