Luv Michael was founded in 2015 by two doctors and their son, Michael, with the goal of providing meaningful employment and on-the-job training to autistic adults. Luv Michael produces and sells high-quality organic granola, and manages a community service program advocating for autism acceptance with hundreds of volunteers sharing thousands of educational messages about autism.
Luv Michael’s online fundraising efforts are supported by several Give Lively products, including Campaign Pages and Team Fundraising.

In this Team Fundraising undertaking, Michael himself is joined by Luv Michael staff, Michael's fellow “granologists” and hundreds of volunteers. The Team Fundraising page makes good use of many typical features: a team logo, personal notes from the team leader, a team roster, amounts raised, information about the nonprofit and its campaign, and a running list of recent donations, not to mention easy ways to share word of the team or even join it.

Initially launched to keep the business going during the COVID slowdown, the Luv Michael Challenge is now a campaign for ongoing funding, most of it raised through teams. All donors receive a token of appreciation for their support: handmade granola and a handwritten card.
