Can I make my donation in honor/memory of someone?

You can dedicate a donation in honor or in memory of someone if the nonprofit has activated this ability on its Give Lively-powered donation forms. You will know this is the case if the donation form includes a “♡ Dedicate This Gift” button.

By clicking on the “♡ Dedicate This Gift” button, you open a box with options to donate “In Honor Of” or “In Memory Of” someone and a field for the “Dedicatee’s Name”.

There's also an optional “Email Address” field if you wish to “Notify someone about this gift.” An email notice will be sent to the recipient identifying who the donor was but not specifying the amount of the gift.

If a nonprofit has not activated this ability on a donation form, you can contact them directly about doing so and point them to these instructions.
