Add ability to give in honor or in memory of someone

On your Core Profile and any Campaign Page, you can easily add (or remove) a way for people to dedicate a donation by giving in honor or in memory of someone.

To activate the “Allow donors to dedicate their donations” link on Core Profiles

  1. Log in to the Nonprofit Admin Portal.
  2. Under "Edit Your Nonprofit's Core Profile," click the "Basic Information" button.
  3. Scroll down to "Allow donors to dedicate their donations" and check the box.
  4. Click "Save" at the bottom of the page. The “Dedicate This Gift” link will now appear on your campaign page just above the "Continue" (donate) button.
  5. You can follow the same process to uncheck the box at any time.

For Campaign Pages

  1. Log in to the Nonprofit Admin Portal and click "Campaigns" in the top navigation bar.
  2. Select the Campaign Page on which you would like to add the dedication functionality. Be sure to look within the “Active” tab of current Campaign Pages. If needed, use the search tool to pull up results only within that tab. Search results will include the desired term, whether it is all or part of a word or phrase in the campaign name or slug.
  3. Click the “Manage” button to the right of the Campaign Page link.
  4. In the "Edit Campaign Page" section, click the "Campaign Name, Description, and Goal" link.
  5. Scroll down to "Allow donors to dedicate their donations" and check the box.
  6. Click "Save" at the bottom of the page.
  7. The “Dedicate This Gift” link will now appear on your campaign page just above the "Continue" (donate) button.
  8. You can follow the same process to uncheck the box at any time.
This is an example of the automated email that donors can elect to send advising that a donation was made in honor or in memory of another person.
