Successful digital fundraising relies heavily on effective Campaign Pages. It’s a given that pages that clearly outline a nonprofit's fundraising goals and feature inspiring, motivational content will be more effective at encouraging donors to contribute. But what does that look like?

Below, we share a few examples of successful fundraising Campaign Pages from last year’s GivingTuesday and key takeaways for when you create your own.

Let’s take a look!

The Campaign Pages

Austin Bat Refuge

Giving Tuesday 2024

Dedicated to demystifying one of nature’s most misunderstood creatures, this nonprofit offers educational programs taught by trained professional rehabilitators where people can meet and learn from non-releasable bats.

What we love about this page:

  • Eye-catching primary image connects donors to the beneficiaries of their generosity– Francesca, Vega, Vidalia and Binz! These photos help donors connect on an emotional level with the work the nonprofit does for these animals, and make the nonprofit’s vision clear.
  • Page description shares two powerful donation incentives: a $10,000 donation match with Titos and a giveaway with Patagonia. Even better, the font size is bigger for these two items, ensuring donors don’t miss them in the text. Additionally, the page description also shares that it is Titos’ 5th year matching and Patagonia’s 2nd year donating merch for the giveaway, lending social proof to Austin Bat Refuge’s GivingTuesday fundraising campaign.

The Poverello Center

Giving Tuesday for the Poverello Center's 50th Anniversary!

For 50 years, this nonprofit has provided a safety net for community members living in hunger and houselessness in Missoula, Montana. The Poverello Center provides education, advocacy and a multitude of other services to improve the health, well-being and stability of people struggling with poverty.

What we love about this page:

  • The page description is a letter from the Executive Director that creates a personal connection with potential donors. Additionally, the letter clearly articulates the need and what it looks like to meet that need. Potential donors have a clear idea of the material and intangible benefits of their support.
  • The Recent Donations list offers social proof for prospective donors.

The Watershed Institute

The Watershed Institute's Giving Tuesday Campaign December 3, 2024

This nonprofit works to protect and restore the water and natural environment in central New Jersey through conservation, advocacy, science and education.

What we love about this page:

  • The primary image shares an update made during the course of the fundraising campaign; having met the previous goal of $10,000, “generous donors have stepped up to match an additional $7,500!” Strategically changing the primary image to showcase developments impacting the campaign was a smart way to leverage momentum and engage potential donors. If you see an opportunity to do similarly during your campaign, you can use our free Canva templates to quickly create new primary images for your Campaign Page that will keep donors informed of progress towards your shared goals!

The Tech Interactive

The Tech Celebrates GivingTuesday 2024

The Tech Interactive (or The Tech) is dedicated to fostering the next generation of problem-solvers on a local, national and global scale through developing and distributing world-class, immersive STEAM education resources. The foundation of The Tech's mission is the conviction that every person is born with the potential to be an innovator who can change the world for the better.

What we love about this page:

  • The primary image and page description both prominently feature a memorable and motivating slogan targeting small donations: “Every Byte Counts!”
  • Peer-to-Peer Leaderboard is enabled, showcasing highly engaged Peer-to-Peer fundraisers supporting the nonprofit's mission.

The takeaway

Ultimately, these examples from successful Give Lively members demonstrate that a high-performing GivingTuesday Campaign Page is built on a few core principles, the core of which is to clearly articulate the need the nonprofit is meeting, and an inspirational vision of the future impact on the community served. Clearly communicating need and vision is the key to inspiring sympathetic readers to become donors. Supporting those two core tennants, nonprofits can leverage matching grants and social proof to incentivize giving, and use engaging, timely visuals and messaging. By focusing on these elements as part of your GivingTuesday game plan, your organization can translate small strategic actions into significant fundraising wins.
