How secure is Give Lively?

Whether you're using our platform to raise money for your nonprofit, or you're using the platform to donate to your favorite cause, you can rest easy knowing that it is completely secure.

You may have noticed that the hyperlink address to your fundraising page starts with "https". In layman's terms, a hyperlink starting with HTTPS means that the page is completely secure. Even when our platform is embedded as a widget on a page that does not include "https" in the hyperlink, like a nonprofit's site, the platform is still completely secure.

HTTPS, or Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure, is a combination of the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) with the Secure Socket Layer (SSL)/Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol. TLS is an authentication and security protocol widely implemented in browsers and Web servers. SSL works by using a public key to encrypt data transferred over the SSL connection.

In addition, Stripe, the independent payment processor that fulfills all charitable contributions made through our platform, is PCI Level 1 compliant. This means that our payment process maintains the highest level of security when it comes to electronic payments.
